Benefit for Hazard Free Farm at Hewn
Hewn is hosting a benefit for Andy Hazzard of Hazzard Free Farm, who recently lost her entire crop of emmer farro, her new mill and several tractors in a fire. Hewn will be selling Andy's retail bags of flour, oats and other items. Hewn will also donate a portion of sales that day to Andy and will sell raffle tickets for items donated to the event from neighboring businesses and wholesale partners including Found Kitchen, Union, Boltwood, Sketchbook Brewing Company, Red 7 Salon, Fawn Studio, Cooked, Whole Foods South, Secret Treasures, Soapies, Stumble and Relish, Squeezebox Books, Paramour Bungalow, Now We're Cookin?, Lollie, Spex, and Four Finches. There will be live music from a local jazz trio from 10am-1pm. Pizza from Union Pizzeria will also be available for purchase.
Hewn is a very proud member of the Evanston community, and as small business owners, Ellen and Julie consider it very important to rally other independently-owned businesses to help support their neighbor and fellow farmer.
